NOW IS THE SUMMER OF SNUB
Updated June. 17, 2009

Summertime is festival time for the improv community and Strippers' Picnic is fired up like a BBQ pit at a cookout.

The gang is happy to announce that for the second year in a row, they have been invited to perform at the Del Close Marathon in New York City, Aug. 14-16.The Del Close Marathon is one of the largest improv festivals in the country, featuring 150 shows on three stages. Tell your friends and reviewers to head on over to Hudson Guild Theater shortly after midnight (12:30 a.m.) on Aug. 15 to join in the fun.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes (if you're lucky) you perform at the Chemically Imbalanced Theater's Snubfest, which is like an intricate combination of all three. By being rejected from some regional improv festival and flea market, CIC welcomed Strippers' Picnic with open arms to one of the fastest-growing festivals in the country. Our heroes will compete in Last Snub Standing on June 25, and perform some of their down-home cookin' longform on June 27.

The end of June will also see the close of Thirsty: The Premier Improv Drinking Party. For six months, Strippers' Picnic has taken great care to seamlessly blend drinking and improv and more drinking, without skimping on the laughs. With a limited number of Saturday night performances left, head over to the Gorilla Tango Theater for the interactive alcoholic spectacular of a lifetime.
