WE GOT THE RUNS!
Updated Sept. 4, 2008

Seven strangers were culled from the iO training center to form Strippers' Picnic in the fall of 2007. They didn't know each other, let alone ever performed together. Many techniques were work-shopped; alcohol was consumed in abundance; much bonding transpired.

Flash forward one year and the iO Theater has rewarded their energy and hard work by booking them for an extended run upstairs in the Del Close Theater. That's right! Thursdays in September at iO now belong to Strippers' Picnic. You can catch them all month at 8 p.m. Joining the Strippers for some fun and frivolity is the fantastic three-way of Black's Law, featuring the Strippers' director, Evan Makela. Discounted tickets are available by downloading this coupon.

Rounding out the month will be a return to the Chemically Imbalanced Theater and an opening gig for the fine fellows in Pimprov. Call 773.865.7731 or visit them online to reserve tickets. Last month, this show sold out two days in advance of the doors opening.

The Strippers would also like to thank everyone that came out to catch us last month at the Del Close Marathon in New York City. We know you'll never look at sailors the same way again. Apparently there was a pretty positive review in one of New York's alterna-newspapers, but no one remembers the name of it.

And as big a month as September projects to be, even bigger things are on the horizon. What things? Videos? Donkeys? Both? Stay tuned to find out ...
